After a hard fought overall third place finish in the 2007 AHRMA Thruxton Cup series, 2008 is off to a great start. In addition to his normal road racing schedule, Brice will be running a limited vintage flat track season aboard a D and D Cycles prepared Yamaha TT500. Brice would like to thank D and D Cycles out of Pensacola, FL for their continued support as a majority sponsor along with Motoworks Chicago, Hyperplates, BES Engineering, and Nolan Helmets. " I like running a spec series where the focus is on the rider. The Triumph Thruxton Cup is a great platform for just that. I have been able to race along upcoming AMA pro riders as well as seasoned veterans in the road racing arena.I am thankful for the great support of all my sponsors to help make it all happen." Check outwww.AHRMA.org for more information about the Thruxton Cup as well as where you can find Brice throughout the season.

Brice takes third at Daytona!
March 3rd 2008 was not to be Brice's day on the Banks of Daytona as his 2006 Triumph Thruxton wobbled around the banks of Daytona International Speedway. After leading the first lap of the race until the exit of NASCAR turn four. "A wicked wobble" plagued his chances of a podium finish on day one of two. Brice reeled in the other competitors on the infield only to watch them pull away on the banking every lap. " it was so frustrating to work that hard on the rest of the track only to get waxed on the banking because of that wobble" That wobble was attributed to a set up issue that was somewhat resolved for day two. The increase in stability led to a third place finish behind Max Hinds, and AMA Formula X-Treme Triumph rider Robert McLendon III. It was a close race with a one, two , three running order too close to call until the last lap where Brice was pulled into the back chicane in the draft of the two other riders. This pulled him deep into the apex almost running off. After that the lead broke off on the banking and Brice cruised to a comfortable third place. " Well at least I didn't loose my finger there this year. I'm looking to do better at Talladega in May"
March 5th 2007 Doctor saves Brice's pinky finger!
After leading the first two laps of the race at Daytona international Speedway, Brice came up on lap traffic in turn one and washed the front end. This costly mistake not only took him out of saturday's race, but the damage sustained to his left pinky finger landed him in emergency surgery in Halifax Hospital to re-attatch his finger and reconstruct the rest of the internals. The finger is now healing, but due to loosing over 25% of the bone on the top of the finger and loosing the P.I.P, joint movement is limited. The positive side is that he now has an easy time being polite in whatever he does, and with halloween just around the bend he is a shoe in for a great Dr. Evil costume!
